PE ITTE Network

The PE ITTE Network began life as the HEI/Schools Network, aiming to bring together HEI providers of PE ITTE and their school-based partners to discuss and agree action on related issues. As ITTE provision was widened, so the Network expanded to the point where it now encompasses all providers of PE ITTE, be they Secondary or Primary, HEI-based or school-based.

With the Network now coming under afPE's aegis, PE ITTE providers have sustainable access to as wide a range as possible of professional support opportunities, and direct opportunities to influence research and political strategy.  Access to the Network continues to be open to all PE ITTE providers, although afPE members enjoy discounted rates with regard to related conferences and resources (as well as the additional benefits afforded by membership of the Association). afPE members also have opportunities to influence strategy and policy, for example by participating in the reframing of physical education as curriculum requirements and policy contexts change.

One of the major aims of the PE ITTE Network is to promote, protect and respond to the developmental needs and interests of providers. In addition, support can be made available to those providers who wish to pursue their research interests.

Network conferences are held once a year with the next one being February 26th/27th 2009 at Eastwood Hall, Nottingham. Full details will be posted soon. Pertinent content from the 2008 conference is posted below:
