This site acts as a portal to support the use of ICT in PE through an innovative application of web based SQL technology. The project has grown out of a number baalpe BECTA projects over the last few years, with Matthew Arnold in Staines and other schools and commercial partners the site will be tested for wider release as the resources expand.
School PE departments must complete the ICT survey and complete it as honestly as possible. Once completed a list of resources will be highlighted from the database that can be used within your relevant PE context.
The resources link to the national curriculum and assist teachers by cutting down on their preparation time and allows changes in the ICT infrastructure to be updated creating a new list of resources. The list of resources will be continually expanded and ensure that new and existing resources feed into the database. It will also allow a PE HOD to demonstrate to their SMT how an investment in more ICT will enhance the classroom resources and thus meet the goals of increasing high quality in PE.
As the resource grows it will develop a seamless interface between ICT in PE departments and suitable teaching resources to complement that infrastructure. |
